Each year, Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland hosts an Annual Business Meeting (ABM). This is a chance for all members and clubs to contribute to the democratic process of how the Association is run.
The Annual Business Meeting 2025 was held on Thursday 15th May 2025.
A full recording of the meeting is available below and available on YouTube.
In order to skip to specific chapters of the meeting, please watch via YouTube and select the relevant sections that are listed within the video description.
The Annual Report for 2023/24 is available to view online at annualreport.rotarygbi.org.
Rotary GB&I's senior leaders, Specialist Adviser Teams and other officers reflect on the year, plus, you can also relive some of the best stories of club projects and Rotary impact from the last 12 months.
Following the conclusion of the ABM, all Rotary clubs had the right to vote on the proposed resolution(s) put forward.
Each Rotary club has nominated their own voting delegates, with the number of delegates determined by the number of members in the club. Those voting delegates then cast votes on behalf of all club members.
Voting ended on Tuesday 3rd June 2025. The results of the Annual Business Meeting are now available.
How many voting delegates is my club entitled to?
The number of voting delegates in your club will depend upon the number of paying members on 1st July of the current Rotary year. Click here for a breakdown of the number of voting delegates clubs are entitled to depending on size.
How do I attend the ABM?
A registration link will be sent directly to any voting delegates in the weeks preceding the ABM, in the final week, where we have spaces available we will post the registration link on this page allowing all interested Rotarians the chance to join.
I'm a voting delegate, how do I cast my vote?
the day following the meeting you will be sent a voting link which is unique to you. You will then have 2 weeks to cast your vote using that link.
The ABM is all done by webinar how do we engage in debate on the resolutions?
There is the facility to ask text questions, there is then the opportunity to pose questions aloud during the Q&A section for each resolution. If you prefer to pose your questions by text that is absolutely fine General secretary Amanda Watkin will read your question to be responded to live. In the event that we have more questions than can be responded to live any additional questions will be answered and posted online on this page 1 week after the ABM and for those who are not able to attend live but have questions, you can email your questions in the first week following the ABM to be responded to and posted along with any text questions posed live.
Is proxy voting permitted?
No. Proxy voting is not permitted.
Do you still send out voting papers by post?
No. Nothing is sent by post. All the resolutions will be available to view online and Club Secretaries submit the names of their voting delegates via Rotary View.
