Rotary is helping protect, empower and create equity for girls in our local communities and around the world.
Girls and women within society continue to face challenges in their everyday lives, including unequal access to educational choice and opportunity, exploitation and abuse including human trafficking, lack of access to menstrual hygiene products, wage discrimination, injustice and much more.
Rotary’s objective is to encourage us all to work together with our communities to modify and create service projects to enhance the quality of life for girls and improve their ability to live safe, healthy and productive lives. Together let’s create an inclusive framework which gives is just and equitable for all.
Recording of the Empowering Girls Taking Action Together seminar is now available!
During this seminar, multiple speakers and topics have been discussed including hearing from the former Afghan Acting Minister for Women Hasina Safi, Women in STEM, menstrual health and period poverty and violence against girls and women. Young people also had their voices heard about why they care and gave ideas on simple steps we can all take to get involved and make a difference.
Access our post-seminar newsletter for Rotary members or the public.
