Interact

Interact offers an introduction for young people aged 12-18 to discover the power of volunteering and social action.

Introducing young people to the power of volunteering.

What is Interact?

Interact is a fun and lively organisation offering young people aged 12-18 amazing opportunities to broaden their horizons, make new friends and help the lives of others.

Interact clubs are based in schools, colleges or in the community, but this is no ordinary club.

Interact is an exciting place where members decide how they would like to help communities at home and abroad. It is the place where ideas flourish and become meaningful social action.

Both RotaKids and Interact support the #iwill campaign to create genuine opportunities for young people to generate social change.

What does Interact offer?

Every Interact club will carry out two service projects each year, one which benefits your local community and one which is international and can make a difference to people right across the world.

Service projects are a great way for members to build skills such as communication and leadership, meet new people and develop an understanding for the world we all share.

Clubs are run by the members, so you get to take part in exciting, hands on projects around the topics and causes that matter to you. These projects will also help you to connect with other young leaders and get your school or college excited about your club.

Interact is also a great way to enhance your CV, which will be helpful when looking for jobs or seeking further education.

Providing support

Each Interact club is supported by a local Rotary club, and they will be there every step of the way to provide help and guidance to make each person’s Interact experience as memorable as possible. You will be amazed what you can achieve.

Interact and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award

Interact is an Approved Activity Provider for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

This means your Interact volunteering experience will fulfil your DofE award too.

Non-Interact members  – please contact your nearest Interact club, using the email address at the end of this page, and ask to join in the volunteering element.

You are more than welcome to participate in the activities.

All volunteer experiences are fully checked by Rotary to ensure safety and suitability of activities.
