Rotary clubs across Great Britain and Ireland celebrate Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

From amazing street parties to communities coming together to clean our local spaces, Rotary clubs across the isles celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in style!

With a four-day Bank Holiday Weekend to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, Rotarians from every corner of Great Britain and Ireland took the opportunity to celebrate the historic occasion whilst also doing some good for local communities.

From Thursday the 2nd to Sunday the 5th of May, Rotary clubs around the country were helping to set up all sorts of commemorative events to celebrate the Queen’s 70 years of service on the throne.

Many clubs helped organise the lighting of Jubilee Beacons, bring the community together for a litter-picking Power Hour and took part in the second national Thank You Day to thank those that have helped make the past few years a lot easier.

Here is a social media roundup of Rotary’s Jubilee celebrations around Great Britain and Ireland, including beacon lighting from around the Commonwealth!
