Rotary in the Heart of England is sponsoring an under-15 team from the Wasps club to take part at an International Special Education Needs tag rugby tournament in Belfast this June.
A pitch-side presentation was held to mark the sponsorship during the Wasps v Sale Gallagher Premiership game. It was attended by Rotary in Great Britain & Ireland President, Debbie Hodge, along with District Governor, Gary Dancer.
“The tournament will be a life-changing experience for these young people,” explained Gary.
Big thank you to the Rotary Club for your donation to the @waspscommunity Foundation. This is going towards funding the Wasps Disability Tag Rugby trip to Belfast this Summer. 🏉 pic.twitter.com/XIj41cwjsg

The world’s first service club, the Rotary Club of Chicago, was formed on February 23rd, 1905 by Paul P. Harris, an attorney who wished to capture in a professional club the same friendly spirit he had felt in the small towns of his youth.
The Rotary name derived from the early practice of rotating meetings among members’ offices.
Rotary clubs across the globe marked the day with their own celebrations.
