To celebrate their 100th anniversary, the Rotary Club of Folkestone have released a commemorative book: ‘A Century of Service – The Rotary Club of Folkestone’ by Vincent Williams.
Across this fully-illustrated book, the club’s history will be covered in detail so their huge variety of successful events and fundraisers.
From Folkestone Rotary’s work during The Great Depression to their more recent endeavours providing school uniforms, debt relief advice and volunteers to work at the local COVID-19 Vaccination Centre, Vincent Williams’ book provides a comprehensive look at the club’s achievements.
The book also gives a fascinating glimpse into the lives of past Rotarians whose businesses were familiar names in Folkestone, as well as the famous celebrity guests who have visited Folkestone Rotary over the years.
Aside from displaying the ways that Folkestone Rotary Club have supported local residents over the past 100 years, this book provides an inspirational look at just what a Rotary club can achieve.
