After close and continuous monitoring of the outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus disease), we have taken the decision to postpone Volunteer Expo, which was scheduled to take place from 1st-3rd May 2020.
This decision has not been taken lightly, but the health and safety of everyone associated with the event is our top priority.
Although at the time of publication of this message there has been no restrictions posed on ‘gatherings’ in the UK, the clear indication following the COBRA meeting and press conference on Thursday 12th March was that ‘social distancing’ measures are likely to be introduced in the coming weeks.
We felt therefore that postponing the event was the only option.
In order to provide full transparency for all those involved or connected to the event, we want to give clear information as to our plans, so you can also plan accordingly.
After close and regular discussions with our venue, The NEC, we are able to confirm that Volunteer Expo will now take place on Friday 7th – Sunday 9th May 2021, and will remain at The NEC.
Needless to say we are extremely disappointed that we are not able to bring this event to life in 2020. We remain totally committed to maintaining our vision of creating a show to celebrate volunteering, civil society and the impact of not-for-profit organisations.
Please do not hesitate to get in touch with our team by email or phone and we will be happy to assist with any queries you may have.
Thank you for your understanding and the enthusiasm you have shown towards Volunteer Expo thus far. Stay safe and we hope to see you in 2021.
